Effective date: 2026-05-05. This notice explains how Smartline (the controller) processes personal data through this website in line with GDPR, the Turkish KVKK and the Swiss FADP.

2. Categories of data
Identification and contact data submitted via the contact form (name, email, phone, message, division of interest, product reference). Technical data automatically created by the web server (IP address, user agent, time of request, referer) — used solely for security, troubleshooting and aggregated statistics.
3. Purposes and legal basis
Contact form data is processed to respond to your request and prepare a possible commercial conversation, on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) / KVKK Art. 5(1)) and pre-contractual measures taken at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Technical log data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) / KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses one strictly necessary first-party cookie (smartlineLanguage) to remember the language preference you selected. It is not used for advertising, tracking or analytics, and therefore no consent banner is required (ePrivacy / TTDSG / KVKK Communiqué on Cookies). The site also uses localStorage and sessionStorage to remember the same language and division choice locally on your device.
5. Recipients
Personal data is accessed only by authorised personnel of Smartline. Hosting and email delivery are handled by professional service providers acting as data processors under written agreements. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
6. International transfers
If hosting or email infrastructure is provided from outside the EEA / Türkiye / Switzerland, the transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism. The current list of providers can be obtained on request.
7. Retention
Contact form messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any resulting commercial relationship, plus the statutory record-keeping period (typically up to 10 years in Türkiye and Germany). Server logs are retained for up to 90 days unless required for security investigation.
8. Your rights (GDPR / KVKK / FADP)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Türkiye: Personal Data Protection Authority — KVKK; EU: your local data protection authority; Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner — FDPIC). 9. Automated decision-making
We do not perform automated individual decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place — TLS encryption in transit, restricted access, security headers (CSP, HSTS-ready, frame-ancestors none), and minimal data collection.
